Luxury Lifestyle - Asia Nightclubs. Armani/Privé Hong Kong & Pangaea Singapore

from Vietnam Golf Magazine

Two of Asia’s most luxurious lifestyle nightclubs come from names well established in the fashion and leisure industry.   Armani/Privé in Hong Kong and Pangaea in Singapore are both international venues catering to the global clubbing elite.

Armani/Privé
Hong Kong

Giorgio Armani’s own exclusive nightclub where Milan’s fashion crowd goes to play has now arrived in Hong Kong -- following its success in Milan, Tokyo and Dubai. Hong Kong’s Armani/Privé has two avant-garde faces - an up-beat lounge club where the gliteratti play late into the night to the latest DJ vibes, and a chill-out rooftop terrace with electric skyscraper city views.

The décor at
Armani/Privé  is where Chinese fire red meets cool sleek black with plush velvet and seductive lighting.  The design blends the fire of China with the cool of Milan.

Guests are invited to step up to the cocktail bar and feel the heat. The barmen almost dance as they mix their devilish potions. Even the Giorgio Armani logo seems to be on fire.

Up on the rooftop terrace the tempo cools. Sleek lounge sofas and comfortable chairs abound – perfect for chilling, sipping on a great cocktail and taking in the electric pulse of Hong Kong. The city’s skyscrapers stretch all around like a scene from the movie Bladerunner.

The Armani/Privé philosophy is to re-master the lost art of cocktails, presenting modernized classics mixing the freshest and sometimes unconventional ingredients.

Armani/Privé has recently launched a new ‘White Saturdays’ party brunch concept available every Saturday on the venue’s open-air roof terrace combining the best of Japanese cuisine and Italian feel-good food. Starting from 12:30pm and lasting until 7pm, the brunch includes:

-    A glass of champagne or Bloody Mary as an aperitif

-    A weekly-changing menu boasting the best, fresh produce available from various Asian markets, offering dishes from each of the three kitchens – maki, nigiri, sashimi and hand rolls straight from the sushi counter, lightly battered tempura, succulent black cod, soba noodles and yakitori from the Japanese headquarters in the kitchen and al dente pasta and risotto come courtesy of kitchen Italia.
-    An array of Armani/Aqua signature dishes for desert such as mini ice cream cones  and an espresso martini shot to gear up the party mood.
-    A chilled-out Ibiza vibe courtesy of a saxophonist and percussionist throughout the day, and from 4pm the ‘white angels’ will appear providing entertainment and to get the party started!

-    Manuel Palacio, Armani/Privé Manager and the man behind the White Saturday’s vision has combined his two favourite pastimes; mixology and music in a sleek setting complemented by an innovative menu.  “I have combined my experience as a manager in some of Ibiza’s best bars, and my mixology training in New York and restaurant experience in London to provide the ultimate party brunch. This is a totally new concept to Hong Kong and Armani/Privé’s outdoor terrace is the ideal location to kick back, enjoy the weather and listen to some great music while enjoying all that our kitchen and bar has to offer”, states Manuel.

Pangaea
Singapore

Pangaea is a one-of-a-kind Ultra Lounge.  Created and conceptualized by Michael Ault, Pangaea has gone through several metamorphoses and has been seen in cosmopolitan cities
Pangaea Singapore
such as New York City, London, Miami, Marbella Spain and Austin.  Its latest reincarnation in the Crystal Pavilion of Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands is taking the partying world by storm.  Once again, they’re revolutionizing the global club scene.  Like its ancient Greek namesake, Pangaea is a super-continent of sorts, a place where entertainment is the currency and those who appreciate it are its citizens.

The interior of the lounge is a super luxe affair, with specially designed fittings and furnishings made of visually eye-popping materials and fabrics including genuine zebra, crocodile and ostrich skins, the most exotic woods, and a Pangaea hallmark, Michael Ault’s personal collection of museum-quality African tribal masks.

Taking it to the next level is nothing new for Ault’s properties, so it’s no surprise that Pangaea

has revealed a collaboration with an internationally renowned designer in creating special gowns for the Pangaea Girls – an exceptional group of immaculate hostesses.

Ault is renowned for pioneering two of the most significant developments within the modern nightclub industry; bottle service and the Ultra Lounge.   Dubbed the “International King of Clubs” by any number of internationally famous publications, such as The New York Times, The Miami Herald, and Vanity, Ault has discussed the time and effort required in preparation of Pangaea Singapore as his “biggest nightclub venture yet”.

Pangaea Singapore
“This has been a two-year project in the making.  There is no doubt that this will be the pinnacle of my professional efforts in my 30-plus year career.  Special thanks are especially due to the enormous commitment from both Marina Bay Sands specifically, and Singapore in general.  Where else, and under what circumstances could one contemplate building a club in Moshe Safdies’ incredible floating Crystal Pavilion, in what will no doubt be the most expensive and ambitious club ever conceived”.

The glamour and unique appeal of the Pangaea group of ultra lounges have led to become the playground of the rich and famous, with
the likes of Madonna, Sting, Kate Moss, Jack Nicholson, Val Kilmer, Lou Reed, Mich Jagger and

John Travolta often gracing the premises.

This newest Pangaea club on the international partying circuit has certainly brought some of the A-list global glitz and glamour to Singapore and has created dizzying new heights of spectacular lifetime experiences.
